Things look a little different around here today, don’t they?

Welcome to our beautiful NEW blog and website! We could not BE more excited to share a project that has been over two years in the making. We started the journey to our beautiful new brand right around our 10-year wedding anniversary. Many of you already know the story of another wonderful surprise that occurred right around that time (finding out our amazing baby boy was on the way), so needless to say, our re-brand took a bit of a backseat behind multiple busy wedding seasons and navigating life with a baby for the first time. It may have taken a bit longer than we planned to get here, but boy are we thrilled that this day has finally arrived! It feels so good to have a brand that truly reflects how far we’ve come since we started our business more than 8 years ago. We’d love for you to take a look around and explore our new online home.

Our ultimate goal was to create a brand that was beautiful, clean and contemporary, but still approachable at the same time. We wanted our website to not only be a place to showcase our work and help people get to know us, but we also wanted it to be a resource for our couples. Our brides are hiring a photographer for the first time and we really wanted to empower them with answers to the many questions they have about the process. Some of our favorite new features of the site are the FAQ section and the Client Experience Timelines that do exactly that.

The cherry on top of the website though is our amazing testimonial video in the Client Experience section! When we asked many of our past RD Brides if they would be willing to record a video testimonial for us, we honestly expected to only get a few responses. Well, to our surprise, we ended up with so many amazing videos that we couldn’t even come close to using all of the footage without making the video so long that no one would ever watch the whole thing! We were truly blown away that so many of our brides took the time – while babies were sleeping, on lunch breaks and in between the busyness of life – to offer us such an wonderful gift. Our hearts have been filled time and time again listening to all of their kindness and love. Tears were shed out of the shear joy of knowing our business has been blessed to serve so many phenomenal couples who love us so much. Seriously guys, RD brides are THE BEST, and we love you all so much!

Anybody else need a tissue after watching that? We sure did.

Now for the super long part of the post. The many, MANY thank you’s to those who helped us during the course of this project.

First of all SO much love for our amazing RD Brides who shared their thoughts, time and hearts in our testimonial video project –  Amy, Angelia, Becca, Chelsea (& Mike), Emily, Flo, Heather, Jessica, Jessie, Kayla, Lilia, Meghan, Michelle, Nikki, Patsy, Rebecca, Renate, Sam & Shaina. We love you ALL more than words can express. Thank you for this amazing gift! We’re so honored to be a part of your lives.

We also want to thank our super talented friends Denver & Beth of Cineprose Films who were kind enough to lend their master editing talents to put together the video footage our brides created (mostly on their iPhones). These two are amazing film makers that we’ve grown to love after working alongside them at Becky & Jake’s wedding last year. They’re a husband and wife team just like us and have a true gift for capturing the most precious moments of a wedding day through video, allowing the sights, sounds and emotions of the day to live forever in a truly magical way. Brides – if you haven’t already booked them for your wedding DO IT! You won’t regret it.

A HUGE thank you to our outstandingly talented friend and wonderful RD Bride Shaina Rozen! We photographed Shaina & Matt’s wedding in 2010 when we were just babies in our photography journey. They were also one of our very first weddings to be chosen for publication. Ever since then, these two have become great friends, purveyors of the very best “foodie friendly” restaurants and incredible supporters of our business throughout the years. Shaina is a talented consultant, copywriter, content strategist and marketing expert who helps small businesses succeed. She was an amazing resource for us during this process. From perfecting copy to helping us hone our brand messaging and most of all, being a constant source of encouragement. Entrepreneurs looking for a brand boost – you’ve found your gal. Our incredible new logo and brand colors were created by our dear friends, and new parents to an adorable baby girl, Nina & James. We met these two lovebirds for the first time on our trip to Italy! We photographed a stunning honeymoon session for them in the city of Positano on the gorgeous Amalifi Coast. From the moment we met these two, we knew we’d made life long friends. We were so blessed that they were willing to share their talents and friendship with us. It feels incredibly good to finally have their top-notch creation representing our brand! They took such care in developing it and did such an amazing job of capturing how we wanted to present ourselves to the world. We are so grateful for them and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of design work, brand development, web design or any of the other amazing services they offer. Our beautiful new site was created using ShowIt5 – the most incredible website company on the planet. ShowIt5 allowed us to create the website and blog of our dreams without making ourselves crazy trying to write code. We cannot recommend them enough. The sky is the limit with ShowIt. Creatives can design just about anything they can imagine with this amazing tool. And believe us when we say that the support is just as first-rate as their product. We’ve probably exchanged a hundred conversations in the last few weeks before our launch and every question was met with speed, kindness and a TON of knowledge. Todd Watson and his crew are simply the best.

And last, but not least, thank you to our good friends and industry leading photographers and educators, Amy & Jordan, who took our anniversary photos a few years ago. A lot of life has happened since then, but these images are still, by far, the best visual representation we have of our joy as a married couple. These images are SO precious to us. We truly couldn’t love them any more. They were the beginning of this whole undertaking and we are so proud that the photos are finally a part of our new brand. You two are a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to us. We’re so blessed to know you both and for the amazing difference you’ve made in our lives and the lives of so many others. We love you guys and we’re so proud to call you our friends.
