A Tempe Center for the Arts Wedding by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

Last Sunday, we spent the day capturing the wedding of Shaina & Matt at the Tempe Center for the Arts. It was truly a wonderful day filled with huge smiles, infectious laughter, happy tears, beautiful details, a stylish and elegant couple and an incredible venue.  All in all, a GREAT day to be a wedding photographer!  Their story is one of boy meets girl.  Well, actually, it was more like boy sees girl.  The first time Matt saw Shaina, he  had come across her profile picture on JDate.com, an online network for Jewish singles.  His subscription to the site had just expired, but for some reason, he was intrigued by the girl in the photo.  Intrigued enough to renew his subscription so he could meet her.  And that he did.

(Please sign the guestbook if you’d like to be notifed when the rest of their photos are online.)

AND don’t forget to click “love” under your favorite images along the way!

The dress was A-MA-ZING!  Totally had that “wow” factor.

The shoes :-)

Love this shot of Shaina’s maid of honor after seeing her in her fabulous dress for the first time.

Matt also got ready at the venue so Ryan was able to hang out with him as he was preparing.  We love getting shots of both bride & groom during the preparation time.  The anticipation is such a great part of the day and it’s always so fun to see both sides of the story.

The handsome groom waiting to see his bride :-)

Their first look was so perfect!  Lots of happy tears :-)

Shooting at Tempe Center for the Arts was a blast!  We probably could have shot there for hours without running out of unique backdrops full of great textures and colors. LOVE that place!

So as you can see, the real “wow” factor of Shaina’s dress is the back.  [Insert cat calls here]  We love a bride who’s not afraid to show off her sexy side!  She totally rocked it :-)

The staff was kind enough to let us into one of the beautiful theaters to grab a few shots.  We didn’t have a lot of time, but I totally love what we got .  The effect of them having a private moment among all those empty seats is just so romantic.

Their good looking bridal party consisted of Matt’s two brothers, Shaina’s sister and her best friend.  They were a fun group to shoot.

Before the formal ceremony, their closest family and friends gathered to witness them sign the Ketubah, or Jewish marriage license.  We felt very honored to be able to capture it.  It was a sweet and intimate time for everyone.

Then is was time for the big ceremony!  We just loved the ceremony location at Tempe Center for the Arts.  The zero edge pool and view of Tempe Town Lake was the perfect setting.

There are so many wonderful traditions in the Jewish wedding ceremony.  They are always a joy to capture.

Mazal tov Mr. & Mrs. Rozen!

We grabbed them for a few more portraits as the sun was going down.  Love all of these!

Shaina & Matt put a lot of thought into the details of their day.  Everything was both lovely and personal.  Being the foodies that they are, they named each of the tables after one of their favorite restaurants.  And they made the wise choice of hiring one of our favorite wedding coordinators, Sherri Lucero of Planned to Perfection, to make sure everything was executed perfectly!

The overhead lights in the Lakeside room where they’re reception took place provided some great dramatic lighting.

This was so uniquely them.  Instead of a DJ, they hired two dueling piano players to provide the entertainment for the evening.  So fun!  Not only were they super talented, it made for great detail shots.

And what Jewish wedding would be complete without the Hora?  As you can see the dance floor was PACKED!  Everybody joined in on the fun.

One last shot of them leaving the reception.  What a fun night!  Thanks Rozens!!!
