A Tempe Engagement Session by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

The first time we met Sara & Vail, it was at Kathy & Matt’s wedding. She was the maid of honor. He was the best man. Little did we know, this sweet pair would soon be sitting on the couch in our studio telling us THEIR love story and talking all about their plans for their own big day! We couldn’t be more thrilled to photograph their wedding at El Chorro this fall.

These two love birds may have had a slightly rocky beginning, but it’s clear to see in the smiles on their faces and the laughter they share that they’re destined for a long and wonderful future together! Vail will tell you that he’s “an acquired taste” and that’s why he and Sara didn’t exactly hit it off when they shared many a classroom during their high school days. Ha ha! Sara wasn’t a fan. He was the loud football player who made lots of jokes. She was the pretty, but shy girl who just wanted everyone to be nice to each other. It wasn’t until after they’d both thrown their cap and gowns that their paths would cross again. This time, at the urging of their mutual friends Kathy and Matt who happened to be dating. At the time, they were all Freshman at ASU and their love struck friends were anxious for them to join the delightful haze of college sweethearts. After hanging out a few times as a group, they couldn’t help but think that there just might be a future for them after all. Apparently Kathy & Matt have quite a future as matchmakers because they nailed it with this pair!

We had so much fun with these two doing their engagement  photos among the blooms of their alma mater and taking in a sunset walk along Tempe Town Lake. Here are some of our favorites from their session.
