The first time Niki & Ryan met, they were just teenagers. They stood side by side, serving at a soup kitchen with their church group. Helping those less fortunate is no laughing matter of course, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t have any fun! So Ryan took it upon himself to make things interesting. He challenged Niki to a soup slinging duel to see which one of them could serve the most. As it turned out, she was as fiercely competitive as he was. God knew what he was doing when he pitted these two against each other that day – they’ve been competing ever since ;-)

We feel truly blessed that we’ve had the chance to make two wonderful new friends and be a part of their Ashley Castle wedding day! These two have an infectious joy that you just want to be around.

Niki & Ryan’s wedding was the perfect mix of lovely and FUN! We loved that they found ways to show off their personalities – like their custom converse shoes!

Love this little moment of smiles between mother and daughter as Niki was about to get into her dress :-)

Ryan is a die hard super hero fan, so he was appropriately dressed for his big day :-)

Their first look was just as sweet and adorable as they are.

The weather was super hot and very humid from the storm clouds that were looming, but you’d never know it was the least bit uncomfortable from how these two worked it in front of our cameras!

And yes, this happened :-) SO awesome!

Off to the church to make things official! And the timing was pretty much perfect because it started to rain as soon as everyone got inside.

Such a sweet moment!

The weather subsided a bit and we had the chance to grab a few more portraits of the newlyweds in the gorgeous post-rainy light.

We could have photographed these two ALL DAY!

Niki’s dad toasted to true love in honor of the happy couple  . . .

And wrapped up his toast with a sweet kiss for his own true love of 25 years :-) Such a sweet moment!

In true Niki & Ryan fashion, they pulled off an awesome (and hilarious) surprise first dance to entertain their guests.

And then Niki and her dad got the tears rolling during the father-daughter dance.
