If you asked us to describe our favorite kind of couple to shoot, we would tell you that they’d have to posses three very important qualities: 1) Put a high priority on their wedding photos, 2) be up for anything in front of the camera, and 3) be madly in love and not afraid to show it! Enter Audrey & Aaron. Last week (on 10-10-10 actually), we had the pleasure of shooting their wedding in Coronado Island, California. It was such an amazing day! The ceremony took place on the beach behind the historic Hotel Del Coronado. It was a beautiful setting for an absolutely adorable couple. These two just radiated wedding day joy! They were so adorable all day and totally had a blast together.
(Please sign the guestbook if you’d like to be notifed when the rest of their photos are online.)
AND don’t forget to click “love” under your favorite images along the way!
The day began at the Hotel Del where Audrey got ready. Her dress was beautiful – the perfect mix of vintage & modern.
The shoes.
She was such a happy bride! Full of smiles and happy laughter.
Love this portrait of Aaron while he was waiting to see Audrey for the first time.
Their First Look was super sweet :-) I think the looks on each of their faces says it all, don’t you?
Aaron checkin’ out his gorgeous bride-to-be!
There’s such a sweet quality to this one. It makes the heart happy :-)
Aaron pulled out his Blackberry to get his own shot of his beautiful bride. Love it!
The very talented Tara at Moments in Bloom did an AMAZING job with the flowers, especially for Audrey’s bouquet. The mix of colors and exotic flower choices created great pops of color.
“Blue Steel” times 2. (Check out the original from their awesome engagement session back in April!)
Favorite shot of the day? I think so.
Can’t beat the amazing view from the balcony of the Hotel Del!
They really wanted to have awesome shots at the Hotel Del before their ceremony. They allowed us plenty of time to walk the hotel grounds – in fact, we even had time for an ice cream break. Yum!
The historic Hotel Del opened in the 1880’s. The incredible lobby really shows off it’s historic charm. The place was packed, but we managed to grab a few shots on the main staircase, giving Audrey & Aaron the chance to “work it” vintage style. Pulling. It. Off.
Their ceremony took place out on the beach behind the hotel. It was a beautiful day to become man & wife!
Married! Wooooooo!
The bridal party looked at us like we were a little crazy when we asked them to climb on top of a sand dune, but I’m pretty sure they’ll think it was worth it after seeing this fun bridal party shot!
After all the group shots were done, we borrowed the happy couple for a few more portraits on the beach.
I love the sunlight peaking through the bottom of Audrey’s dress, but my absolute favorite part of the image . . . is the bucket! It somehow just makes the scene complete.
Their reception took place at the Coronado Golf Club, just a quick trip down the road from the Del. Love this sweet shot from their first dance.
There’s a ton more great shots of Audrey & Aaron’s wedding preview! Make sure you click on the “view slideshow” button below to check them out.

Devin and I were just in Coronado in May. I got to see Hotel Del for the first time and was STUNNED by how gorgeous it was and how much history is there. I CAN NOT believe you got to shoot a bridal session there – that is SO cool!!!
I have the best looking and happiest daughter and son-in-law! Nothing says it better than these photos–thank you for doing such a great job.
