A Flagstaff Arizona wedding by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

BEST DAY EVER! Those three little words pretty much sum up Emily & Mark’s Flagstaff Arizona wedding perfectly :-)  This adorable pair first met through their church where they both served on the worship team.  They began their relationship as good friends, (even though others kept wondering if it was more!)  After many months of serving others and praising God side by side, they started to realize that there just might be more to their bond than friendship.  It was a perfect match engineered by God’s careful hand and orchestrated in His timing.  That’s pretty much the best kind in our book :-)  Emily & Mark became man and wife under the shade of green trees of the forest backing Emily’s gorgeous family home.  The location was a perfect nod to their love of the outdoors and admiration for all things nature.

AND don’t forget to click “love” under your favorite images along the way!

Emily was all smiles as she prepped for the day.

Mark and his guys hung out at his house as they got ready.

Mark gave each of his guys a hatchet as their groomsmen gift so a little tough-guy walking shot seemed in order.

Loved the look on her Dad’s face as he saw her for the first time in her wedding gown :-)

Their bridal party was so much fun! Instead of just a photo looking at the camera, each one did a silly shot too!

This sweet little guy is Mark’s nephew Gavin. I’m betting he’s gonna look a lot like his uncle when he grows up!

The ladies shared a time of prayer with Emily just before she walked down the isle.

One of our favorite parts about their ceremony was the “church doors” at the back of the ceremony that Mark built himself. They remained closed until the moment that Emily’s Dad walked her down the isle. Such a great entrance. LOVE!

Can’t beat the blue skies and mountain views of Flagstaff for your ceremony :-)

The crazy Flagstaff wind pulled Emily’s veil right off her head during the ceremony! Luckily her dedicated maid of honor Mary (in heels) and one of the guests ran to the rescue and brought it back. Now that’s dedication! Being the incredibly gracious bride, Emily just laughed it off and the rest of us laughed right along with her.

Love the girls expressions as they react to the big kiss!

After a few post ceremony group photos, Emily & Mark drove us up to one of their favorite spots in a nearby field at the base of the mountain. Such a beautiful and scenic place!

Since BBQ can be a little messy, the newly minted Mrs. Weststeyn put on a very special apron to protect her dress :-) Too cute!

Once the sun went down, we snatched the newlyweds away for a few minutes to get some photos under the “super-moon.”

LOVE!

Then it was time to party!

It just felt right to end on this one :-)
