A Mesa Temple and Lavender and Old Lace Wedding by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

Genevieve and Matthew braved the 113 degree temperatures of a June day in Arizona to become man and wife.  And you know what?  It didn’t seem to bother them a bit!  Now that’s what I call commitment!  These two lovebirds weren’t going to let a little heat keep them from committing their lives to each other.  In spite of the summer sun, this sweet pair snuggled and loved on each other all day without a second thought!  As we listened to their family and friends talk about how perfect they were for each other, it became very clear that these two have a bright and happy future ahead.

We met up with the happy couple at the Mesa LDS Temple to do some photos before their sealing ceremony. Matthew was SO excited to see his beautiful bride!  I just loved the expression on his face when he saw her for the first time.

We discovered that these two had some serious ballroom dance skills when they pulled out this AWESOME dip!

Love the sweetness of this shot :-)

Genevieve was such a beautiful bride! I loved the vintage touches she incorporated in her look; the birdcage veil, her lace gown and the classic pearls.

They emerged from the temple as husband and wife to the cheers of family and friends.

And lots and LOTS of cameras! LOL!

After an informal bunch, they headed over to Lavender and Old Lace to continue the celebration.  It was truly the perfect setting to go along with Gen’s vintage look.  So many beautiful details and gorgeous light too!

We grabbed a few shots of the newlyweds as they got back into their wedding attire.

Before the guests started to arrive, we snagged them for a few photos around the beautiful grounds.

I think their bridal party just may have been our biggest yet!

The guys had a little fun with the antique furniture Lavender and Old Lace was kind enough to let us bring outside for their photos. Too funny!

Working with big groups can be a challenge, but this group was totally up for having some fun! I love the shots we got of the girls and the guys.

Since there’s a limit to the number of people that can attend the sealing ceremony at the Temple, Genevieve & Matthew opted to do a ring ceremony as well to include the rest of the special people in their lives.  They showed a sweet slideshow of photos of each of them over the years to kick things off.

I loved so many photos from their first dance :-)

This one is probably my favorite.  I love that several of Gen’s sibling and their spouses are in the background watching them on the dance floor.

A few more highlights from the reception.

And a sparkler send off ended the evening perfectly :-)
