On Friday, Ryan called up his mom and asked a rather strange question . . . “Can we borrow your camera?” Yes, it sounds odd, but somewhere along the way of becoming professional photographers, we lent out our point and shoot camera and it has not yet found it’s way back to us. So on Saturday, for the first time since we started our buisness, Ryan and I got to be GUESTS at our friends Lindsay & Tristan’s wedding. We didn’t want to have to lug around a bunch of gear all night just to take a few pictures so that’s why we needed a loaner.
I have to admit, it felt kinda wierd being a guest. No back stage pass . . . no unlimited access to the bride and groom . . . no carrying around a 15 lb camera every where we went . . . time to sit around and chat with friends. It was kinda CRAZY! Despite the slight pangs of photographer withdrawl, we had a great time and had tons of fun hanging out with great friends that we don’t get to see often enough. Here’s a couple fun snapshots. Please, no judgement on the quality – they were all shot on a regular old point and shoot camera.
I’ve had the same six gal pals in my life since high school; Julie, Krissy, Ally, Steph & Lindsay. Here’s a shot of us, minus Lindsay (the bride – she was out having portraits taken with her new husband).
We lent Julie and her fiance’ Jimmy our shades for this silly litte number. Work it!
A ridiculous atempt at a Gotcher self portrait. That’s not pretty . . .
A snapshot I took on route to the bufett of the beautiful bride Lindsay and Krissy, her matron of honor.
We asked Jimmy to take a nice picture of us since we almost NEVER end up on the same side of any lens. Aren’t we cute :-)
Congrats Lindsay & Tristan! We’re so happy for you guys :-) Thanks for giving us a reason to take the night off!
hehe it WAS weird to see you guys taking pics with a dinky little “normal” camera. Love the one Jimmy took of you two. You looked so great that night!!
