A Mogollon Rim Engagement Session by Destination Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

When it comes to love, timing is everything. Staci and Travis met in law school and became fast friends. They both knew right away that they could probably be more than that, but the timing was never quite right. She was dating someone, he was dating someone – it just never seemed to make sense, so they settled for great friends. As life took it’s twists and turns for both of them over the next few years, they checked in often and supported each other through some tough times. In April, they found themselves in a unique situation for the first time – they were BOTH single. Travis had taken a position at a law firm in Vegas so they were no longer living in the same city, but that didn’t give them a moment’s hesitation. It was finally time to give their spark the chance to become a flame.

Since it’s about a thousand degrees in Phoenix right now, we opted to head up north to the Payson area to photograph these darling lovebirds. And let me tell you, it was well worth the trip! Between the lush and beautiful Christopher Creek and the incredibly scenic Mogollon Rim, we were in photographer heaven! And to top it off, Staci and Travis were so sweet and in love that they made every moment pure joy. Rarely do we get the chance to encounter two people who are so in awe of each other. To say these two are “smitten” doesn’t even scratch the surface. We’ve known Staci since 2009 when we photographed her sister’s wedding which turned out to be just the first of MANY special moments we’ve been blessed to document for the Bern family. Needless to say, we were pretty excited to get this text on July 1st: “The littlest Bern sister is finally tying the knot!” LOVE IT! We couldn’t be more excited for these two wonderful people. Choosing favorites for the blog was TOUGH because there are so many that we love. #sorrynotsorry
