The first day at a new job is always kind of a bummer. You’re the new kid. The one who doesn’t know where anything is and isn’t sure who to sit with during lunch break. For Andrew, it was amplified by the fact that he’d just moved from Missouri to Arizona a couple days before. On his first day at Resolution Copper, he was pretty much surrounded by unfamiliar territory. He was beginning to wonder if he’d made the right choice in coming when a dark haired beauty sat down beside him in training class. Her name was Ruby and it was her first day too. Suddenly he felt a whole lot more at home. They sat together everyday that week and by Friday, Andrew was asking her to lunch. It didn’t take long for Ruby to agree to an official date with her “cute geologist.” He fell hard for her fun, positive personality and she loved his energy and ability to fix just about anything. Who knew that a career in copper mining could turn out to be so romantic? We had the best time hanging out with Ruby and Andrew for their engagement photos in downtown Phoenix! Our session was almost crashed by a bunch of dread-locked teens doing crazy bike tricks, but that didn’t put a damper on a fun afternoon! They were our favorite kind of couple to photograph – adorable, crazy in love and totally willing to have a great time with us no matter what. They told us at the beginning of the session that they were a couple of newbies in front of the camera and would need lots of help, but by the end of our time together they were rockin’ it like a couple of models. Total naturals! And so was their adorable fur baby Zona. We can’t wait to get these two back in front of our cameras in the spring for their wedding at Gold Canyon Golf Resort.
