On the day of Qing and Tony’s bridal session, the weather wasn’t exactly what you’d expect from a day in Arizona. It was very cloudy and on the verge of rain during most of our time together. Rainy days are few and far between for us desert dwellers but as it turned out, the occasional sprinkles and looming storm clouds wouldn’t be the most unusual thing about the day! We started the session at one of our favorites locations – The Desert Botanical Garden – and planned to head to nearby Tempe Town Lake for a completely different look. As soon as we left the garden, we discovered an bunch of road closures and a whole lot more foot traffic than usual. Well, as it turned out, the final leg of the Iron Man Triathlon was being run right along the lake! And of course, all the beautiful spots outside Tempe Center for the Arts were directly in the path of the runners. Lucky for us, Qing and Tony were totally game for going on a little adventure with us! What can I say, we love a challenge! It actually turned out to be really fun and a very memorable session to say the least! In some small way, I think seeing our sweet couple dressed in their finest was a great boost of energy for the exhausted runners. We got all kinds of congratulatory shouts and even an epic “bridal fist bump.” Such an awesome moment! This adorable couple is headed to China for their wedding in just a few short weeks, but they really wanted these images to bring a little piece of home with them to share with their family and friends. Here are some of our favorites of our time with Qing and Tony.
