We’re so excited to finally be able to share some of our favorite photos from our OWN photo session in Rome, Italy back in October! As soon as we scheduled our trip, we knew that we wanted photos of us while we were there to commemorate such a once in a lifetime journey. The tough part – finding the perfect photographers. As you can imagine, we’re pretty picky about that sort of thing. Ha ha! We searched for months to find someone who had a style we liked and could not only capture the beauty of the place, but our personalities as well. As soon as we stumbled on a husband and wife team, Lucca & Claudia of Rossini Photography. We. Were. Sold. Their work is beautiful, romantic and they do an amazing job of incorporating the kinds of iconic locations we wanted to have as the backdrop for our photos. On top of that, it was so fun to hang out with another husband and wife team from the other side of the world! They happened to be excellent tour guides as well, so that was an added plus :-)
While we weren’t super thrilled to get up before dawn while on vacation, it was well worth it to be able to see this magnificent city, known for it’s hustle and bustle, in such a quiet, almost magical state. We couldn’t help but be in awe of it’s splendor. We started our session at sunrise on top of a hill overlooking the rooftops of Rome.
Next stop, the Spanish Steps (Piazza Di Spagna)! The day before, we had been there around dusk and the area was so packed with thousands of people, you couldn’t even see what color the steps were.
Walking down the quiet streets of Rome on our way to the ancient columns of the Pantheon.
Our last stop was the Villa Borghese, one of the largest parks in Rome.
They originally gave us a boat with the number 13 on it, then Lucca informed them we were from the states and that number is considered an “unlucky” number. In Italy 13 is lucky and 17 in considered unlucky. So we changed to number 10 to commemorate our 10 year wedding anniversary that happened earlier in the year.
Thank you Lucca & Claudia (Rossini Photography) for these beautiful memories! We can’t wait to get them on our walls!
