We LOVE bridal sessions. Without a doubt, the portraits of the couple are some of the most important images we capture on any given wedding day. They are the photos that end up in frames and made into canvases to be hung on the wall. Unfortunately, on most wedding days, we typically have about 30 minutes to capture these romantic images of the happy couple in their bridal attire. Don’t get me wrong, we can do A LOT with a small amount if time, but it’s SO much fun when we get the chance to focus an entire session on getting these beautiful shots. No distractions and no schedule – sounds like a perfect recipe for creating loads of amazing images!

The oh so adorable Pei-Wen and Harry are planning a wedding in Taiwan later this year, but they contacted us to do a bridal session here in Arizona so they have the perfect way to show their friends and family what their home and life is like in their home state. We (of course) thought that was a great idea! This sweet couple met while living in New York and Philadelphia, but a job opportunity ended up bringing them all the way to AZ. It was so much fun exploring their neighborhood with them and capturing such a special time in their lives!

They wanted to kick things off with some photos in and around their lovely home.

I think this was the first time we’ve ever photographed a bride and groom in a kitchen – and we pretty much loved it!

What better way to show off an Arizona summer than Monsoon season? There were some scary clouds and wind on the day of their session, but we were so lucky to have the weather hold out. The winds did make the balloons a little bit challenging, but Harry harnessed them like a pro!
