On Saturday we headed out to Old Town Gilbert for a combined Senior/Family session.  The day was wonderfully overcast, which we absolutely LOVED since it’s so rare around here.  You may recognize a few friendly faces from this group – we did a mother daughter session with the adorable Carrie & Lindsay back in 2009.  Carrie had been a co-worker of mine the year that Ryan & I got married (translation – a LONG time ago!)  We both worked for a small cable company down in Sun Lakes.  This time, her brother Dave, who also used to work there, came along for the family portion of the session.  It was a regular cable company reunion!  So fun to reconnect with old friends :-)  The whole group was a riot and had so much fun hanging out together.

(Please sign the guestbookif you’d like to be notifed when the rest of their photos are online.)
AND don’t forget to click “love” under your favorite images along the way!

For the first half of the session, we focused on photos of the family.

Love this shot we set up with the whole group walking and laughing together.

And, I have to say, I think I love THEIR, slightly modified version of it even more!  LOL!  Awe-some.  Dave – you haven’t changed a bit ;-)

Carrie & Dave wanted to recreate a photo they have of them holding Lindsay upside down by her feet when she was a little kid.  Apparently you’re never too grown up for silliness in this family!  I think the best part about this shot is the look on Lindsay’s face – totally relaxed and normal, like she’s hung upside down by her ankles everyday. Ha ha ha!

After all the family fun, it was time for the lovely Lindsay to show her stuff.  It’s kind of amazing how much she’s grown up even since our last session with them.

Shooting senior sessions is so much fun and Lindsay totally rocked it!  She was such a doll and totally photogenic too :-)

For our last stop, we headed over to Chandler High School where Lindsay will be graduating in May.  This high school has actually been around since 1922!  It’s a pretty cool historic site, although many of the buildings have been renovated since then.  Carrie also graduated from Chandler High and wanted to have a shot of Lindsay standing in front of the pillars.

How gorgeous is this girl?

It’s always fun to show what two photographers can do with the same set up.  Ryan’s shot the beautiful headshot on the left.  My shot on the right has more of an environmental portrait feel to it.  So fun that we can get such different looks from the same scene!

Classic Arizona sunset + gorgeous girl = perfection :-)

Thanks so much for being such a fun group!  We heart you guys!  Carrie, Dave & Lindsay – it was great to reconnect.  Don’t be strangers now!
