This little cutie pie is Miss Liliana – Lily for short :-)  I had the pleasure of meeting her and capturing her baptism last Sunday.  One of the greatest things about being a wedding photographer is that when our couples choose us to shoot their wedding we end up sharing in a really special time in their lives and inevitably, we all end up becoming friends.  This often means that down the road  they end up inviting us to capture other important moments in their lives too.  Nothing makes us feel more special and more honored :-)  Lily’s mom & dad are the absolutely adorable Amy & Bryant.  We shot their wedding back in 2009 and we couldn’t have been more happy when they asked us to tag along for one of Lily’s big moments.

Lily was baptized at the Church of the Holy Spirt in Tempe, the very same church where Amy & Bryant became husband & wife :-)  So special!

 

 

It took a small army (Mom & two Godmothers) to get Lily into her silk Baptism gown.  It totally made me laugh because it kinda reminds me of a particular shot of Amy getting into her wedding dress!

Each parent was asked to stand with Lily and receive a special blessing – how sweet is this pair?

After the baptism was over, we headed back to Amy & Bryant’s house.  Lily wasn’t super thrilled about having her photos taken in her little white dress . . .

But after some yummy lunch and a quick wardrobe change, the sweet little smiles came out.

 

 

Her baptism was the same day as the Oscar’s so we had a bit of a red carpet theme to our little photo shoot.  I’m using the word “theme” pretty loosely since it basically consisted of me pretending to be a paparazzi and asking her silly questions like, “Who are you wearing?” and “Are the rumors about you and Justin Bieber true?”  As much as this may have entertained me, her mom & dad’s cooing and silliness was a lot more effective.  LOL!
