On Monday afternoon we headed back up to Sedona! We met up with Laura and Justin at a mexican food restaurant. It was the first time meeting them so we decided to get to know each other over tacos and enchiladas before we started shooting their engagement session. They are planning a very intimate wedding with only a few guests up at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in July.
The session began with Laura and Justin taking us on a small hike up to Cathedral Rock where Justin had proposed to Laura back in April. Here’s a quick look at Cathedral Rock posing as the backdrop for the lovely couple.
Next, we headed down to Oak Creek. FACT: Laura and Justin have a little Pug at home named Dwight K. Schrute! :-) Right on! They are huge fans of The Office just like us! They quoted the show several times throughout day. Awesome!
“Women are like wolves. If you want a wolf, you have to trap it. Snare it. Then to keep it happy, you have to tame it, feed it, care for it, lovingly. The way an animal deserves. And my animal deserves a lot of loving.” – Dwight
I love this one! They were so cute together :-) I think they forgot we were there during this moment. Perfect!
At Buddha Beach getting our “cool” on.
After the park and a quick wardrobe change, we drove around until we found a place to pull over for some shots with Justin’s beloved black Chevy.
Okay so Justin’s obviously a big Chevy truck guy right? Well, Laura is more of a Jeep wrangler girl herself. I’m going to have to give love to Justin on this one though. My very first car ever was a PURPLE Chevy S-10.
This is one of my favorites of the day. Love the pose Laura!
Fence love!
A little relax time at the end of the day.
Another one of my favs.
Thanks Laura and Justin for an awesome day! You guys ROCK and were so fun and easy to shoot!
