A sweet Sedona Engagement Session by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

It was junior year of high school and Matt new right away that it was going to be a great year. He had somehow managed to score a locker assignment next to a cute blond girl named Kathy. Their interactions began with small talk about their classes and the upcoming football game, but overtime they grew deeper and a friendship developed. By the end of the semester they were dating.  What Matt didn’t know at the time was that his lucky locker assignment would end up leading him to the love of his life! Their shared love of football, laughter, friendly competition and life would draw these two into a relationship that would last long after graduation.

We had the pleasure of hanging out with this sweet pair in Sedona for their engagement session! Not only are these two cuties high school sweethearts just like us, they too are hopelessly devoted to the furry love of their life, Gizmo. The drive up from Phoenix was this little guy’s first road trip!  He didn’t seem to mind though and was more than happy to join in the photo fun in exchange for some treats and cuddles.

This sweet face? It’s pretty clear why he’s got Kathy & Matt wrapped around his finger/paw! Ha ha!

Kathy had seen a shot like this one from our Fur-tography mini sessions and requested one for her sweet little guy too! Such a good little poser :-)

Kathy’s mom did some puppy sitting while we focused on the happy couple.

Things got a little competitive when the football came out! Too cute!

This blooming tree was the only one of it’s kind, but it sure made for a great backdrop.

In keeping with their football themed wedding, they had “Save The Date” jersey’s made for another fun photo op.

Matt LOVES the water so we were more than happy to let these two love birds snuggle along the creekside.

Every time Kathy would start laughing, she’d bury her face in Matt’s neck. I kinda feel like this shot really captures these two. It was so fun to see these two interacting with each other.
