Jessica and Christian refer to themselves as “geeks in love” . . . and they’re proud of it!  We have absolutely loved getting to know this awesome couple over the course of their wedding planning. So much so that we’re actually a little sad it’s over (tear). LOL!  The greatest thing about these two is that there are completely and totally themselves with each other and with the world.  They’re always laughing and they truly appreciate and respect what they each bring to the table.  When they talk about each other, you see their eyes light up and they can’t stop saying how lucky they feel to have found each other.  They honestly believe that their love has made each of their lives better and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Who doesn’t want to hang around a couple like that, right?  The term “geek” (a non-mainstream person), suits them to a tee.  Their wedding at historic Sahuaro Ranch Park was full of color, fun and loads of personality!  They didn’t feel the need to have a cookie cutter wedding and abide by all the usual wedding trends.  Their day was in every way “Jess & Christian” and we had a total blast capturing it!

The day began at the Hyatt Place North Phoenix where Jess and her girls were getting ready.

I’m crazy in love with these pink & orange shoes that the bridesmaid’s all wore! Seriously, so adorable.

Over at Sahuaro Ranch Park, Christian and his guys were also hard at work finishing up all the setup and getting ready for the day.

And of course, he had his own pair of awesome shoes :-) And I just love this candid shot of Christian’s dad. He looks so proud!

How much do we love a bride in a short dress and awesome pink heels? SO MUCH! The color pallet and fun details from this wedding were truly a photographers dream :-)

I was glad to see that Jess chose a look that complimented her “ink.”  LOVE!

Instead of a unity candle or a sand ceremony, Jess & Christian shared a PB&J sandwich to signify the joining of their lives! These cute little heart shaped sandwiches also served as yummy hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. SO CUTE :-)

They put so much thought into all of the fun reception decor, including a 4-tiered wedding “cake” made of rice crispy treats!

There were so many sweet shots from their first dance. It’s clear how madly in love these two are.

After the party was over, they stuck around to get a few more portraits in the golden light.
