A Desert Botanical Garden engagement session by Scottsdale Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

It was music-trivia night at the bar across the street from Jaime’s Seattle apartment. She was meeting a friend for a drink. Marc was also there with a group of friends, showcasing their grand knowledge of all things music. As the night progressed, it became clear from their litany of incorrect answers that Jaime and her pal were in need of some trivia support. Luckily for them, Marc and his comrades were happy to oblige. They talked, they laughed, they learned more than a person should ever know about rock music history. While she thought Marc was cute and thoroughly enjoyed his company, Jaime started to get the feeling he might be interested in her friend. So as any loyal good-pal would do, she decided to make her exit, saying her goodbyes and excusing herself to the restroom. She emerged to find that everyone else had left except for Marc. “What are you still doing here?” She asked. With a sheepish grin, he quickly replied, “I thought I’d walk you home.” The rest, as they say, is history. Although, to this day, Marc likes to joke that while Jaime was gone, he just flipped a coin to decide between the two of them and she happened to be lucky that it landed on heads. Ha ha!
As I always like to say, old friends make the very best #RDBrides! Jaime and I go way back, in fact, we used to co-lead a Sunday school class for 6th graders many years ago! Seeing her and Marc so happy has been a true joy. They came all the way from Seattle for their engagement photos with us and we can’t wait to celebrate alongside them in October for their big day at Sassi in Scottsdale. Jaime came straight from the airport for their session so we were in a bit of a time crunch, but we truly loved every minute with these two! Other than a beautiful desert backdrop, their only other request for their session was a quick stop at a Seattle-themed pub for a little taste of their home! So fun! Here are some of our favorites.
