A beach couples session in Coronado Island, CA by Destination Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

The evening before Heather & Daniel said “I do” at the Navy Lodge on Coronado Island, we were honored that they invited us to join them at their rehearsal dinner. Oh the perks of having brides who become our friends! We just couldn’t pass up the chance to get some golden sunset shots of these two soon-to-be-weds on the beach before it would become the backdrop for their ceremony the next day. As it turned out, the images ended up looking very different because of the weather even though we photographed them on the same beach. Their wedding photos had the cool, dreamy, romantic quality of an overcast day along the water’s edge, while their mini-portrait session the night before had the golden sun-kissed look of a typical sunny California day. Best of both worlds for sure! Here are some of our favorites from our time with them!
