Rex and Dee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Friday! After 50 years together, they have had a wonderful life and a beautiful family to share it with. It was so sweet to listen to these two love birds reminisce about their love story! Rex told us that it was snowing on the day of their wedding, but that Dee still insisted that he wash the car before picking her up. Only the best for his sweet bride! She tells the same story a little differently of course, but at the end of either version they both end up with wide, happy grins. After all these years these two are still very much in love. And the legacy they’ve created is filled to the brim with beautiful memories. It was an honor to document the whole family as they gathered to celebrate.

And when you’re doing photos with the grand kids, it’s not unusual for a tickle fight to break out!

Since everyone was together, it was the perfect chance for some updated family photos.

You may recognize this sweet couple! We were honored to photograph Katie & Paul’s intimate wedding a few months ago! It was so much fun to see these two again!

This shot was a special request. Rex & Dee’s anniversary party was scheduled to take place at their church. Unfortunately, when they arrived they discovered that the landscape was completely torn up! We had to come up with a plan B for their photos, but it all worked out just fine. Rex joked that there was piles of snow to celebrate their wedding day and piles of dirt 50 years later! ha ha!
