Shelby & Blake’s love story began in the most romantic of settings – Country Thunder! Even though they had attended the same high school and even shared some mutual friends, they somehow never met until they happened to cross paths at the famed country music festival. Their connection was obvious right away and they quickly become inseparable. One night, after they had been together for quite some time, Blake arranged for their families and a few close friends to join them for dinner at one of their favorite hang outs, San Tan Flat. His family was in town visiting from Kansas, so Shelby didn’t think much of it. When one of her favorites songs “Love Your Love the Most” came on, she was the first in line to usher the group to the dance floor. As the song came to an end she started to head back to their table when her sister-in-law grabbed her arm and turned her back around. There in the middle of the dance floor, she saw Blake down on one knee. In front of all the people they loved most, he asked her to be his wife. It was such a perfect moment!

We had so much fun with Shelby & Blake for their engagement session at the San Tan Mountains! They brought along their three pups Mako, Dallie and their newest addition Laila who just joined their little family a few weeks ago. (A big shout out to Taylor and Wes who came along to help “wrangle” the pups! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Couldn’t have done it without you guys!) It was a rather warm day in the desert, but that didn’t stop these two lovebirds from being as cute as can be together. Here are some of our favorites from our time with them.
