Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Session in Positano, Italy by Destination Wedding Photographers, Ryan & Denise

God bless the internet! As we were planning for our amazing trip to Italy, there was only one thing missing – the chance to photograph a couple while we were there. As many of you know, travel images were our first love from behind the camera, but since becoming wedding photographers 6+ years ago, we’v e discovered that our approach to photographing our travels has changed a bit. Where we were once satisfied to take a few cool angles of an amazing landmark like the Colosseum, now we can’t help but think to ourselves, “How awesome would this shot be with a beautiful couple standing right over there?” Ha ha! What can we say? Being a wedding photographer is it’s own kind of illness I guess ;-)

Lucky for us, God and the good old internet knew that our photographer hearts couldn’t truly be happy on our Italian adventure without the chance to document some special moments for a darling couple while we were there. And let me tell you guys, it was AH-MA-ZING! From the moment we connected with Nina & James in an online travel forum about Italy, we were feeling like the luckiest photographers in the world. It just so happened that they had gotten married over the summer and the end of their September honeymoon overlapped perfectly with the beginning of our trip. So of course, an Amalfi Coast honeymoon session was definitely in order.

We pretty much fell in love with these two immediately. Not only were Nina and James adorable, but they pretty much embody every aspect of our ideal client; stylish and quirky, incredibly fun and madly in love. On top of that, they’re talented creatives themselves and have their own design firm in Providence, Rhode Island. Sharing a glass of wine with these two for the first time in an outdoor cafe overlooking the Mediterranean felt like meeting long lost friends!

Nina & James – spending time with you two was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you so much for allowing us to document this special time for you guys and for giving us two new wonderful friends!
