I’m sure you’ve all been anxiously awaiting post number two for the ever so adorable Meghan and Matt! Their wedding day was so many things: untraditional, unique, heartfelt and full of so much love. But most of all, it completely fit them as individuals and as a couple. It was so much fun being a part of it alongside the many people who they inspire everyday. Here are some of our favorites from their day.
Sedona was such a beautiful backdrop that we incorporated it’s natural beauty wherever possible. The dress . . .
The rings.
Something that was very important to Meghan & Matt was having their dogs as a part of the day. Love this shot of their adorable little family :-) You’ll see some more of the puppies in a bit.
Matt with his grooms “people” rocking the serious look.
Meghan and the lovely bridesmaids. Don’t they look like they’re having so much fun?
When it came time to take portraits with their family and friends, they decided that a simple posed photo just wasn’t going to be enough. They requested one serious and one silly shot for EVERY GROUP! It was hilarious seeing what each group came up with! Here’s a little sample courtesy of the happy couple and Meghan’s three sisters.
The ceremony was so sweet and meaningful. Love this shot of Matt watching Meghan walk down the isle. Here comes your bride!
The forecast predicted that it might rain and the clouds did start to look a little scary, but not a drop of rain fell. It was perfect :-)
They wrote their own vows and I doubt there were very many dry eyes in the crowd as they read them. I’ll admit, even we had a few tears.
Here come the ring bearers Watson and Kosner!
Apparently there was some concern that the puppies wouldn’t make it down the isle, but they were PERFECT. High fives were exchanged in celebration!
And of course, these two just couldn’t make it official without a fabulous kiss!
Since we had a ton of awesome portraits with them from the day before, we only snagged a few before heading to the reception. This is one of my favs. Their friends who officiated the ceremony Beth “Doc” and Dave, gave them these Beatles-tribute “All You Need Is Love” and “Love Is All You Need” necklaces. How perfect is that?
Meghan said she had been picturing this shot in her head for a long time, so we did a quick shoe change featuring the old hiking boots with a new wedding dress! So fun!
The reception was exactly what they wanted – a picnic surrounded by family and friends. It was refreshingly casual, with attire ranging from tuxedos to t-shirts and shorts. Full of fun and laughter and people having a great time celebrating with the newlyweds! There were games, music and even a TALENT SHOW! I think this next shot captures the tone of the reception just perfectly- gotta love a bride who will sit on the ground in a bridal gown. LOVE IT! Make sure you check out the slideshow at the bottom of the page to see a whole lot more of the fun.
There were of course a few of the reception standards . . .
The cake cutting:
And toasts by family & friends:
And the couple’s first dance . . .
In keeping with the theme of the day, their first dance was not at all ordinary. After a short bit of slow dancing to Sister Hazel’s “This Kind of Love”, the music changed into a crazy medley of songs including “Thriller”, “Kung Fu Fighter”, Cotton Eyed Joe” and “Baby Got Back” just to name a few. It was AWESOME!
Don’t forget to check out the slideshow below for more photos from their special day!
To Meghan & Matt: We can’t even begin to tell you how much your love for one another moved us both. Your love is totally real and refreshingly beyond compare in so many ways. We want to thank you so much for allowing us to come along for the weekend and capture what true love is really about. Thanks Meghan & Matt! Mwah from Ryan & Denise!
Love it, love it, love it. What else can I say but it was ALL perfect.
I agree – love it, love it, love it!!! Beautiful pictures, you 2 captured the real essence of Meg & Matt
