A Salt River Engagement Session by Phoenix Wedding Photographers Ryan & Denise

Kelly was just 13 years old when she first laid eyes on a handsome 17-year-old named Ernie. He would become her very first real crush. She spent the next few months writing his last name after hers in her diary. She wished on every star that someday they’d get married and even began collecting Sesame Street “Ernie” dolls because they made her think of him. As with most childhood crushes, years passed and life brought both of them down very different paths. Until one day, exactly 25 years after the day they first met, she saw a Facebook message from her one time “dream guy.”  Even after all these years, her heart started to beat just a little bit faster as she opened the message. Now, in just a few months, Kelly’s childhood wish is about to finally come true. Ernie & Kelly will be husband and wife!

I’ve known Kelly for years so it has been such a joy to see her so happy and in love. We met up with these two lovebirds at the Salt River for their engagement session. We were even lucky enough to get a visit from the elusive Salt River wild horses. So fun! Here are some of our favorites from our time together.
