We consider it an honor whenever a couple asks us to be a part of their wedding – to document the special moments when the two of them become one in marriage – but we’re usually just a tiny part of a much bigger picture. Weddings are filled with family members, bridal party and guests, so our presence tends to fade into the background. But not on April & Pat’s wedding day. Aside from the happy couple themselves and their wonderful officiant Liz, we were their ONLY guests. We weren’t there just to capture the moments, but to serve as the witnesses to their union. We even had the HUGE honor of signing their marriage license! It was incredibly special in every way. And it couldn’t have been for a more wonderful couple. April and Pat are the warmest and most genuine people that you’ll ever meet. While we arrived on that day as virtual strangers, we walked away with two new friends. Being a witness to their sweet affection and thoughtfulness for each other was a breath of fresh air. This wedding wasn’t about centerpieces, decor or fancy linens. While we love those things, of course, it was so special that this particular day was centered around the very root of what every wedding should be – two people in love who want nothing more then to spend the rest of their lives side by side. It was an amazing day. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Shaw for allowing us to be a part of it!
