Mick knows a TON about working on cars. Andrea on the other hand . . . she’s an expert in lots of other, non-car related things. Still, she was more than happy to be by his side as he exhibited one of his cars at a local car show. Knowing her lack of mechanical skills, she though it was a little strange when Mick asked her to help him fix something on his car, but she decided she’d do what she could to be helpful anyway. As she so eloquently put it, “he distracted her by saying a lot of fancy car words and by taking things apart, then asked her to hand him a screw driver.” She actually felt pretty good that she knew enough to ask whether he wanted a flat head or Phillips screwdriver. Not bad, right? As she reached into the tool box and began sorting through the various items, she didn’t even notice the delicate white ring box that was resting unassumingly inside. Finally, Mick reach down, grabbed the box and got down on one knee. The rest is history.
We had so much fun on a day trip up to Flagstaff for Andrea & Mick’s engagement session! Andrea had picked out the most beautiful spot called “Locket Meadow” to do their photos. Getting there was a bit of a treacherous drive, but lucky for us, Mick is just as good at driving a car as he is at fixing one. He navigated the narrow dirt roads and terrifying drop offs with ease and we were only kinda close to having a heart attack. LOL! The stunning views were worth the drive and their sweet chemistry kept us all a little warmer in spite of the chilly winds and colder temps. We just couldn’t get over how strange it was to see snow on the mountains in June! So excited to share some of our favorites from our time together!
