Every time I read what Alex wrote about the day Christian proposed, my heart can’t help but get all warm and happy. “It was the perfect autumn day in northeastern Illinois. We slept in, had brunch, then went apple picking at a family farm an hour from Chicago. After filling our totes with fresh fruit and bellies with warm cider donuts, we went to a nearby park and took a stroll around the lake. The sun was just setting over the water when Christian got down on one knee and popped the question! We cried (just kidding, it was just me, but I cried A LOT), I said yes, then we drove home and made a pie with our freshly-picked apples to celebrate. Best. Day. Ever.”

So cute, right? When your proposal story ends with baking apple pie together, it really doesn’t get any sweeter than that!

AND their wedding day was just a perfect. Looking back at the images, it’s such a joy to relive so many precious moments. Their families and friends were all so present and happy on their special day, smiling, laughing and crying right along with them and it was absolutely heartwarming to witness.
