Flagstaff Wedding

When Kayla & Mike contacted us about shooting their January wedding in Flagstaff our first question was, “Won’t it be cold?”  Little did we know, the snow would make an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for their a winter wedding.  And you really just have to wear a few more layers (like 5 more) to keep warm. LOL!  We had so much fun with this adorable couple!  And we have to give them and their bridal party major props for braving the cold to do their photos outside.  They were all totally awesome and had so much fun with it in spite of the chilly temperatures.  It was a day full of beauty and many signs of God’s blessings on a very special couple starting their lives together.

Preparation took place at the same spot where Kayla & Mike would become man & wife later that day – Flagstaff Christian Fellowship.

The guys were across the street . . . being hilarious guys :-) Too funny!

But at least they clean up nice, right?

Kayla & Mike didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, BUT they did want to spend a few minutes in prayer together so we arranged a secret “no peeking” moment for them.  Love these sweet moments they shared.

Both sides of the bridal party also prayed together in the last few minutes before the ceremony.  It’s such a joy to capture such special moments.  Love both these images.

Here comes the bride!  This may be my new favorite coming down the isle shot.

We rarely have an opportunity to get a first kiss shot from behind the couple, especially in a church, but this setting was just perfect for it.  Love seeing all the people who are most special to them in the background as they share their first moments as husband & wife.

When we headed outside for bridal party photos, the guys were kind enough to lend their jackets to the ladies for a few shots.  What a bunch of Godly gentlemen!
And we’ve never seen a group of groomsmen so eager to snuggle to keep warm. LOL!

Kayla was SUCH a beautiful bride! Love this gorgeous portrait we grabbed in between bridal party photos.

Kayla & Mike had picked out a lovely, snowy spot on the NAU campus to do their portraits.  It was a perfect winter wonderland :-)

Totally in love with this sweet in-between-shot when Mike was trying to keep Kayla nice and warm.

So much sweetness.

Could these two BE any more cute together? I think not.

And just in case you were wondering, Miss Kayla DID have a jacket on, in between shots.  Mike was kind enough to carry his lovely bride to the car after the last of the photos.  Not even an hour in and already an epic husband!

Time to warm up and enjoy the reception with their guests!  Love this sweet moment from the first dance.
