When you hear Becky & Paul talk about their love story, you truly see God’s hand in it every step of the way.  It is a story of two people who fell in love, but couldn’t be together.  Time and time again they would reconnect and realize that they had deep feelings for each other, but circumstances would keep them apart.  But rather than complain or try to reach for something that didn’t seem to be God’s will at the time, they both gave their hearts back to Him (not even expressing their feelings to each other) and waited patiently while He worked behind the scenes to weave together a love story much greater than they could ever have imagined.  God truly blesses those who wait on Him to write their love story and these two are a perfect example of that fact.  They couldn’t be more in love and feel more blessed at the reward that God had in store for them :-)

These two are some of the kindest, most genuine & heartfelt people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting in our journey as wedding photographers. They are truly examples of Christ’s love and we’re so very glad that they blessed us with the opportunity to capture their wedding. As you can tell, we kinda love these guys :-)

The day began at the Heller home, where Becky and her girls were getting ready.

Becky was all smiles  as her mom & sister helped her into her gown.

I just couldn’t stop shooting this beautiful girl!  Isn’t she just the most gorgeous bride?

Oh how very different Ryan’s day is when he’s hanging out with the guys! LOL! Paul & his guys arrived at the venue dressed and ready so their “preparation time” consisted of shirtless ping pong :-) Too funny!

We headed over to the nearby Seville Golf & Country Club for Becky & Paul’s first look. Ryan snagged a few portraits of the handsome groom before we arrived.

It was nearly impossible to choose which images to share from their first look! It was seriously one of the sweetest we’ve ever had the honor to witness.  So much emotion and sweetness between these two.  There could not have been two happier people in the world.

One of our favorite things about Becky & Paul is that we hardly had to give any direction at all when shooting their portraits.  Their natural affection and adoration for each other just flows out in everything they do.

Next we headed over to the beautiful Gilbert home of their family friends the Braaksma’s, where their ceremony and reception would take place.  We grabbed a few portraits with the bridal party before things got started.  Being that the wedding was held in Arizona in late May, I loved Becky’s choice to have the girls carry parasols instead of bouquets.

And the guys were having way too much fun with the suspenders :-)

Becky’s dad looked  so proud to be walking his baby girl down the isle!

Their ceremony was so personal and incredibly touching.  Not only did they have a wonderful officiant who was a personal friend, they also had several members of their bridal party talk about them.  What a huge range of emotions to document!  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house that’s for sure.  To hear all of their friends and family talk about them was a true testament to the godly couple that they are.

And the grand finale . . . the first kiss! And this was no ordinary first kiss.  It was their first kiss EVER as a couple! They chose to honor God with their relationship and avoid temptation by saving their first kiss for their wedding day :-)  It was an AWESOME moment to witness and capture! As you can tell, it was well worth the wait!

So happy to be Mr. & Mrs. at last!

We got to snag a couple more portraits of the newlyweds around the neighborhood before they headed into their reception. Stunning!

The reception was held in the wide open spaces of this enormous backyard.

Guests enjoyed Crochet and over-sized Jenga. And there was even a fun play area for the kids! So fun! (Thanks to our awesome friends Sean & Michelle who were helping us out by manning a photobooth that night and grabbed some of these fun shots.)

For their grand entrance, they stopped on the dance floor for a kiss with their bridal party cheering them on! LOVE IT! The expressions in the background are a total crack up.

After a few hours of dancing and enjoying time with their friends, it was time for the newly minted Hellers to head out for their honeymoon.  But not without one more crowd pleaser kiss! LOVE :-)
