We have been having so much fun enjoying the holidays for the first time in our very own home these past few weeks!  And of course, since goal #33 on our 101 list was to decorate for Christmas, we thought it was high time that we shared some of the holiday cheer that has taken over the Gotcher house with all of you :-)  Although we have a fake tree in the attic, we decided to splurge and bring home a real tree to fill the house with that yummy fresh pine tree smell.  The day we brought it home it was about 85 degrees out and most of the trees on the lot were pretty dried up, but we were lucky enough to snag this little beauty fresh off the truck.

 

We had gathered most of our ornaments from Christmas’ past, but there were a couple of newbies added to the collection for 2010.  The sparkly Eiffel Tour we saw at Pier 1 and just had to bring home with us.  And the little house on the left was in my stocking on Christmas morning to commemorate our first year as homeowners :-)  Mr. & Mrs. Claus start out behind the door and when you slide the little lever on the bottom, they come to the front and kiss.  I have such a sweet and thoughtful “stocking filler” – thanks honey.  Mwah!

We don’t have a fireplace, so we had to improvise a bit on the stockings.  One for each of us: Molly, Me & Ryan.

What can I say?  It’s hard to stay focused on shooting holiday decor with this little face around . . .
