Ok everybody – the time has come to post part two of Matt and Ally’s engagement session! If you happened to miss out on part one of this adorable couple, check out the previous blog post. And don’t forget to check out the awesome slide show at the end of this post!
For the second part of our shoot, we headed out to the Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse in Mesa, Arizona where Matt and Ally will be getting married in December. There was another wedding going on, so we opted to shoot outside of the main area and find some fun spots outside.
As you can see from the first photo, we found a cool tunnel that took us under the street to the other side of the community and decided to take some shots there. Ryan and I LOVE finding cool and unusual places like this! It keeps things interesting and makes each one of our sessions unique. After spending the whole day with us the day before, Matt and Ally weren’t too fazed by our location choice although, they did jokingly ask if we could possibly find another spot that was a little more dirty or creepy.
There was of course some pretty “precarious” puddles to avoid :-)
We had found out on day one that Matt is a big fan of making silly faces. Since none of them made it into the first blog post I figured he’d appreciate a little “face time” in this one . . .
From there, we moved on to some brighter spots outside the clubhouse.
This next one is probably my favorite of the day :-) They look so happy together don’t they?
I couldn’t help myself – I had to have Ryan grab a quick shot of Ally and I before the day was through :-)
To close out the posts from this session, I decided to throw together a little collage of some fun (and silly) black and white shots. We seriously had SO much fun shooting with these guys! We both feel so blessed to be a part of their lives, as their photographers and as their friends.

They are sooooo amazing! Thank you so much Gotchers! We love them. We have had such a blast working with you guys. Those 2 days will definately go down as favorites of ours and we have the pictures to prove it. Looking forward to the wedding and the amazing photos we know we will have from that! Thanks again and God bless!
