Gillian and Rudy met when they both worked at a catering company in college. Rudy says the first time he saw her dancing to “Gangnam Style” at an event, he knew immediately that she was THE ONE. Their romance didn’t truly blossom until they worked a 6 hour event together with no other co-workers and LOTS of downtime. They kept boredom at bay by sharing about their lives, passions and hopes for the future. Their friendship bloomed from there and a few months later they started dating. Flash forward to a spontaneous vacation in Maui years later. Rudy got called up on stage as a volunteer at a luau they were attending. After playing their parts, all the other volunteers returned to their seats. Instead of following their lead, Rudy requested that the emcee ask Gillian to join him on stage. When she arrived, slightly confused, but grinning from ear to ear, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

Couples like Gillian and Rudy are the reason we LOVE what we do! We had such a blast hanging out with these two for their engagement session at beautiful Saguaro Lake. They are so fun, a true joy to be around and dang good lookin’ too! ;-) Our 90 minute session flew by and we were left wishing we could make the sun stay up a little longer so our time with them didn’t have to end. We couldn’t be more excited to capture their Val Vista Lakes wedding in October!
