Photographing elopements is so special! While we LOVE the hustle and bustle of big weddings, it’s such a huge honor to be able to document intimate ceremonies where there are only a few (if any) guests. Briena and Jon contacted us just a couple weeks ago because they were coming to Arizona for a vacation and were thinking about tying the knot while they were here in town. We were able to recommend the perfect officiant (the amazing Liz O’Brien of Joyful Unions) and even helped them decide on the quintessential desert location. It doesn’t get more AZ than a giant Saguaro as your ceremony backdrop, right?  Since there weren’t any guests so serve as witnesses, we even signed their marriage license! We loved making two sweet new friends all the way from Minnesota and capturing such a special time in their lives. Briena & Jon were so sweet together and we had the most fun getting to know them as we commemorated their day with lots of beautiful desert portraits. We were definitely in love with Briena’s gorgeous purple gown – that back though – and the adoring way these two lovebirds looked at each other. I have no doubt that the towering cactus and golden light of the desert will hold a special place in their hearts from this day on! Congratulations you guys!
