Starting off our 2018 season with A & R’s beautiful Clayton on the Park wedding was SO MUCH FUN! We seriously had a blast with this wonderful pair and their fun-loving family and friends. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a great one. A was the absolute picture of calm. The bridal suite was filled with laughter and joy as she and her bridesmaids got ready and that relaxed vibe carried on throughout the whole day. Nothing about their wedding felt overly formal – it was as laid back and fun as A & R themselves! One of our favorite moments was during the reception when R and his mom shared their mother-son dance. They chose the song “Linus and Lucy” from the Peanuts movies and danced their hearts out in classic Charlie Brown style! (This happens to be one of our two-year-old son’s favorite songs so of course we both laughed until our sides hurt.) R told us afterwards that his mom was nervous about having lots of people watching so they decided just to make it silly so everyone would be laughing with them. (How awesome is that? LOVE IT!) From the hilariously quirky ceremony performed by A’s brother, to the maid of honor toast which included a large “info graphic” of their relationship, the unforgettable moments were endless.
They also had so many sweet and personal details peppered throughout their day! We particularly loved A’s sparkly Keds, the cutest table numbers with illustrations of iconic “pairs” holding hands (Mac & Cheese, Cookies & Milk, Coffee & Cream, etc.) and the custom word search for their guests to enjoy between courses. With the talented ladies of Your Jubilee at the helm, it was a flawless day that was truly a joy to capture.
We couldn’t be more excited to share some of our favorites!
