We’ve been dreaming of having photos taken in a vineyard ever since visiting Italy a few years ago. Looking back on that unforgettable trip, the rolling hills of Tuscany truly captured our hearts. When we found out that we’d be in the wine country of Oregon to photograph Hillary & Graham’s wedding, we knew we wanted to have some family photos taken while we were there. And the idea of doing a session in a beautiful vineyard couldn’t help but delight our Tuscany loving hearts. We’re so grateful that Hanna, the events coordinator at Maysara Winery, was kind enough to allow us to do our own photos there the day before we’d be photographing Hillary & Graham’s big day. This family owned winery is stunning, and has a great story too so if you’re ever in the area, be sure to check them out.

When we have a chance to get on the other side of the camera (which we try to do at least once every year), we usually call upon one of our talented local photography friends. In this case though, we didn’t have a personal relationship with anyone in Portland, so we opted for the next best thing – our favorite vacation photography company Flytographer! Such a fun concept, right? We had a wonderful experience with Whitney who was extremely kind and very patient with our little guy, who was pretty tired from a long day of traveling the day before. We ended up with some incredibly beautiful memories that captured exactly what we had hoped for.
