Emily knew exactly what her day would look like. She and Brian were flying out to Minneapolis in the morning so she planned to spend the day doing laundry, packing and picking up a few last minute necessities. When Brian called from work to ask if she’d go out with him for a date night later, she was a little confused. Why did he want to take the time to go out when they needed to get ready for their trip? Wouldn’t there be plenty of time for that in Minneapolis? He insisted so she reluctantly agreed. Their first stop was to one of their local favorites, LGO, which just so happened to be where they went on their very first date. They sat down and ordered some drinks along with her favorite chips and dip. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Brian was acting a little strange – like he was nervous about something. Maybe a case of the pre-vacation jitters? She just assumed they’d be staying at LGO for dinner, until Brian mentioned a second stop.”There’s a place I know you’ve been really wanting to try so I want to take you there for dinner.” She was never one to turn down a chance to try something new so she happily agreed.

As they turned into the palm lined drive at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa, she realized that he was taking her to T. Cooks. “Brian. Are you sure?” Emily said, “I know we’ve been wanting to try this place, but it’s way too expensive! We’re already going on vacation tomorrow.” He assured her that it was fine, that it would be delicious and totally worth it. She decided just to go with it. Once they got to their table and ordered some drinks and an appetizer, Brian didn’t waste any time. He asked Emily if she would go on the biggest adventure with him and become his wife. He got down on one knee and revealed the most perfect engagement ring that he’d been nervously hiding all evening. By this point they were both crying out of joy and excitement. It was the easiest “YES” she’d ever said.
