Katie & Justin said “I do” in the backyard of their Phoenix home back in 2009. It was during the first few years of our photography business and we were truly honored that they chose us to share in such a special time in their lives. They’ve long since passed from the “client” category into the “dear friends” one and even helped us out with our promo video shoot a few years ago. Needless to say, this sweet pair is very close to our hearts. We couldn’t have been more overjoyed when they asked if we would document their first few weeks with their darling baby girl. Ellie was born on May 22  so she was about 6 weeks old for our session. She is the absolute picture of sweetness and her mom and dad could not be more in love with her! We definitely got all the feels from watching these three together. I’m seriously so in love with how their session turned out. It was so special to photograph them in the very same backyard where they were married. Katie even pulled out the cute yellow flats she wore for their wedding as an homage to their big day.  I love that there’s a shot of Katie’s reflection in her gown looking into her bedroom mirror from their wedding day. Now there’s a reflection shot in the very same mirror of her rocking her sweet baby girl. The flowers on the table in the very first image were part of their wedding day decor and added the perfect pop of color for a sweet family portrait. So many special touches that make these photos so precious. Here are just a few of our favorites:
