Every wedding is unique, but we can’t help but love it when a couple chooses to make the day their own. Laura & Yoni did exactly that. They took the typical wedding traditions and transformed them so that every aspect of their day felt like a genuine celebration of who they are and what’s most important to them. They wanted to conquer the day just like they do every other day – as partners – so they prepared for the day together instead of in separate rooms. They even walked down the aisle, arm in arm, towards the next big step in their lives. For them, there wasn’t any need to be “given away” because they already belonged to each other. Instead of a bridal party that featured a maid of honor and best man, their toasts were delivered by Yoni’s grandfather and Laura’s father.  There was something so special about hearing from both of them. Their words were deeply rooted in family legacy and the true understanding of watching two people walk down the path of life, from children into adults and then into each other’s lives. It was truly a beautiful thing to witness. After dinner, it was a non-stop dance party! For a couple of lawyers, these two really knew how to party. Ha ha!

And the FOOD! Seriously you guys, the food was AH-MA-ZING in every way! Thanks to the team at The Farm at South Mountain and Santa Barbara Catering, their guests were delighted with a selection of deliciousness that was unparalleled by any wedding meal we’ve ever seen. I don’t think we’ve ever had more fun photographing food! The cherry on top of an already wonderful day was working alongside one of our favorite planners Andrea Leslie Weddings & Events who made sure everything ran flawlessly. We heart her and her awesome team!
