Phoenix Wedding Photographer shoots holiday portraits in Gilbert, Arizona.
On Saturday, I headed out to Gilbert to shoot some holiday portraits for my old friend Christy and her husband Jerry. Christy and Jerry recently moved into a new home and wanted to have their Christmas decorations as the backdrop for the photos. And of course, they also wanted to include their super cute puppies in some pictures to use for their holiday cards!
After my last shoot involving a pet, Ryan made a suggestion that I decided to try out with Christy and Jerry’s dogs. Back when our dog Molly was a puppy, we took her to puppy training classes at Petsmart. They had us use a training tool that makes a loud clicking sound to let the her know when she had done something correctly. I decided to bring the clicker along in hopes that it would help get the dogs to look right at me for the pictures.
It was a good experiment, although it was a little tough to work with the camera and the clicker at the same time. It did help to get their attention, but an assistant would have been helpful! Anyhow, here’s a few of my favorites with the dogs. (The Pug is Q and the Beagle is Princess.)
I just loved this sweet moment between the four of them . . .
Here’s one of the whole family outside their new house.
I think all that posing wore Q and Princess out. They look pretty tuckered out in this one . . .
Next we moved on to some portraits of the cute couple . . .
Aren’t they cute in their matching Cardinals gear? (That’s right, the Cardinals have at least two fans in Arizona! Ha ha ha!)
Thanks for the fun afternoon guys. I had a blast!
