Emily & Tony’s Wedding: Cave Creek, AZ

Vote For Image
(4 people love this)

It’s official.  I have a crush on this wedding :-)  From the moment we met with Emily & Tony we pretty much knew that their wedding was going to be amazing.  One look at Emily’s Pintrest boards filled with bright spring colors and citrus accents and that fact was pretty clear!  AND we were blessed to get the chance to work with one of our favorite planners, Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings & Events.  Sandy was the perfect choice to help bring Emily’s gorgeous Pintrest boards to life and to make sure that every detail was in place for their special day at a beautiful private residence in Cave Creek.

Emily is actually a fellow alumni of Corona del Sol High School, where both Ryan & I graduated back in the day.  When we reconnected with her at Becca & Danny’s wedding last summer, she hinted at the fact that she was hoping her long time love Tony would be popping the question pretty soon too.  When we got the official “inquiry” email we were so excited to work with them!  These two are just perfect together!  We loved listening to family and friends talk about their history and how well they compliment each other.  And you can really tell a man is head over heels for his bride when he’s willing to have their wedding conflict with an ever so important Yankees game ;-)  I’m pretty sure Tony will tell you that it was worth it.

I love that their flower girl didn’t wear the traditional white dress.  This little miss has so much personality! The fun bright green suits her perfectly. Totally love both our shots as she was walking down the isle.

I think Sandy was a little stumped when we asked to borrow the cute “i do” hanger that Emily’s dress had been hanging on towards the end of the night :-) But we had a little something in mind for it that didn’t involve a dress.

Kristina & Jim’s Wedding: The Castle at Ashley Manor

Vote For Image
(6 people love this)

When Kristina & Jim first emailed us, they described themselves as “a laid back fun couple from the midwest.”  When it came to their big day, they’re main focus was to have a good time and enjoy the moments with the people they loved most.  Their wedding at The Castle at Ashley Manor was relaxed and fun, just like them!  These two love birds may disagree on what team should be the national champs, (Kristina’s a die hard Nebraska fan and Jim’s an Iowa man), but if there’s one thing that they can easily agree on it’s that they’re a perfect match in love.

Jim’s been collecting Transformers since he was a kid.  As a special surprise for him, his mom had a Transformer groom’s cake made and displayed at the wedding!  He was so excited when they first walked over to check out the surprise. So fun!

Leigh & Tug’s wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and emotion: a beautiful, well planned day that centered around a couple with a deep, long lasting love.  The gorgeous grounds of The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa were the perfect setting and an amazing team of talented vendors were on hand to make sure that the day went flawlessly.  Seriously, one of the sweetest, most emotional ceremonies we’ve ever photographed :-)  Don’t miss the slideshow at the bottom of this post to see more of their wedding day story.

This adorable little man is Conrad – Leigh & Tug’s 1-year old son. I had just walked back in to the suite to tell her it was time to see Tug when I stumbled upon this incredibly sweet scene.  Seeing her little guy all dressed up brought on a flood of happy tears . . . and it pretty much spread to every one in the room ;-)

LOVE this sequence! Little Emily saw Leigh crying and gave her a flower to make her smile. From the look on Conrad’s face, I’m sure he was thinking, “Geez ladies. What’s all the fuss about? I know I look handsome, but come on now.” LOL!
