It was the first day of Chemistry class their Sophomore year of high school. Lindsey sat down, opened her book and waited for class to begin. She couldn’t help but notice the cute guy sitting in the next row. As she looked down, doing her best to pretend she wasn’t looking at him, he leaned down to pick up a pencil off the floor. And that’s when she felt it – a sharp pinch on her posterior. What the heck? Who does this guy think he is? There’s no way she was going to stand for that kind of treatment from some high school boy she’d never even met. She whipped around and looked at him in disguised. “Did you just pinch my butt?!?!?!?!” she said her most accusatory tone. Andrew sat up with a start. “No!” he clambered, as his face turned a deep shade of red. As it turned out, the guy in the seat behind her had just put his feet up and accidentally touched her in the process without even knowing it. When they both came to this realization, Lindsey and Andrew couldn’t help but erupt into a fit of laughter. They laughed until their sides ached – or at least until class started. It was a rather rocky start, but it ended up being the beginning of something very special. Their story would take many twists and turns after that fateful day in Chemistry class, but they’d eventually end up just where they belong – in each others arms at the start of a wonderful future together.

It’s hard to believe that any great love story could start off with the words “Did you just pinch my butt?” but as they say, love often works in mysterious ways! We truly couldn’t be happier for this sweet couple. Nothing brings us more joy then seeing an old friend find the love of her life! We’ve known Lindsey since the days of youth group all-nighters and post football game hang outs so it’s such a blessing to see her so happy. We laughed until OUR sides hurt doing engagement photos for these two!  And of course, there was no more appropriate place to kick things off than in the EXACT place where their story began – their high school Chemistry class at Gilbert High School. Lindsey teaches photography in the same district and was able to get us a little after hours pass into the school. SO FUN!  We can’t wait to be a part of their big day in April, which just so happens to be taking place at the very same church where OUR own high school love story began.
