It was about 113 degrees outside when we photographed Kara & Chris’ engagement session. July isn’t our most popular month for outdoor sessions (for obvious reasons), but since these two lovebirds happened to be in the desert at the same time, they jumped at the chance to have us document their love story. Chris is an MLB player and spends a ton of time on the road so they don’t have a lot of time together during the season. You’d never guess they were the least bit hot though from watching these two cozy up next a giant Saguaro. There are so many things to love about this sweet session! I was absolutely smitten with Kara’s dress. AND how adorable is Bruce, their cute puppy who made a little cameo for some of their photos.  That face and a dapper, polka dot bow tie? Who’s with me? They both told us at the end of the session that while they were excited to see all of their photos, they couldn’t WAIT for the ones with Bruce! Gotta love those puppy parents :-)

Check out some of our favorites from our time together!
